For all of the times I’ve looked at a great image and figured it was far too complicated for me to imitate armed with just my camera and, when I’m lucky, an external jod unitMcNally shows that it can be done AND that it can be done without necessarily emptying the bank account.

I preordered from Amazon and got my copy last Thursday.

If nothing else, it was fascinating to see these famous photos and hear about how and why he had chosen to shoot them This was a cool book! I went into work to collect it on Saturday and I have skimmed through the content.

This is one of the best if not THE best book on photography I have ever read. Particularly noted for his portraits, McNally teaches numerous workshops throughout the year. I am a grannie that has taken up photography — I love it — the most fun I have ever had.
