My name is Danielle. He is arrested- but the abanvoned takes him back. Its called a life worthwhile. Your strength and courage are an absolute inspiration. Anya is a remarkable woman. Though I am 17 but you have imparted me to continue to study to fight for the xnya of children and help them fit. But it’s a heart wrenching story and I think the way she describes the abuse is really an eye opener.
Overall it was a very good book and definantly pulls on the heart strings. February 4, at 8: Its so sad that so many like you miss out on what should have been given to you, and instead you were subjected to what no child should ever be subjected to. This book is disturbing on many levels, perhaps the biggest one being that the aunt allows the abuser to move back into the home with children still living there and the author asks to move back in as well.
Her story also makes me angry at how selfish peterx can be and the choices that they make, when there is a child involved, how far they will go to risk their pride being affected. I have never been in a situation like this but I know what it feels like to have your world turned upside down. The only person she could trust was the woman she called ‘Mummy’.
February 13, at Nov 04, Iysha rated it it was amazing. Jan 09, Kim rated it liked it. Kathy her biological mom and her friend Brendan who happens to be her father she is put in a boarding school to get on with a new life. There are so many children that are abused on a daily basis and we cant’t do anything.
I had no intention of falling asleep there that night, but in the end I did. The one thing I enjoyed about Anya’s style of writing was how at the beginning of the book I felt I was reading a child’s story, and by the time I came to the end I felt I was reading a woman’s story. The first half of Abandoned was…well, shocking and heartbreaking.
Really sad and awful the way this child was treated, primarily by her heinous uncle but really her entire family let her down. February 2, at Top 10 Sunday Times Bestseller, Abandoned is Anya’s inspirational story of her fight to find love, acceptance and a place to belong. But her uncle started abusing her in front of other children and her supposedly siblings start calling her whore.

Petefs, huddled in my sleeping bag across the front seats, when I had almost resigned myself to the fact that one of these days I might not wake up; that I would anha in my sleep out there in the woods.

Edit- After reading such accounts you realize psters the life is I was unable to sleep for several nights after reading this heart wrenching book. It’s about people making mistakes and trying to make the best of the situation. I found that sometimes it slowed down a lot and repeated a lot of things, but can you actually critise misery memoir???
